The 2006 COFA SPRING FAIR
Sydney's biggest and brightest showcase of Art Design and Multi Media is
set to take place on Saturday September 9.
COFA will once again open its doors to ALL, with its biggest line up of activities, exhibitions,
interactive opportunities and demonstrations to date. This is a great opportunity for the community and
prosepctive students to visit the COFA campus located on the corner of Oxford Street & Greens Road Paddington.
The 2006 COFA SPRING FAIR features:
* 4 x Exhibitions: including Chinese Whispers, Face of China and 2 x Student exhibitions
* Demonstrations: including Felting & Shibori Dyeing and a Printmaking Demonstration by COFA's Cicada
Press with artists such as Reg Mombassa and Ben Quilty.
* Interactive Activities & Happenings: including a livFine Art & Design Market
featuring original hand made art, jewellery and objects.
* FREE Workshops
* Demonstrations: e VJ performance, a catwalk fashion parade of COFA
student's textile and jewellery pieces.
* Smooth Sounds - A live DJ outdoor deck featuring hot Sydney DJ's such as Noel Boogie & Noodles,
Inna Riddim and Disco Punx, a public drawing wall, an Atelier interact paint display, the EPSON
print drop in Zone, Photoshop drop in zones and lots more.....
* Master Seminars featuring Dr Michael Garbutt and Michael Esson
* Film and Animation screenings.
* The COFA TALKS panel discussions featuring some of Sydney's best artists, collectors and designers.

Art Auction Fundraiser
Eastside Arts, Paddington 7th October 2006
Indonesian Solidarity and Union Aid Abroad - APHEDA are organising a benefit exhibition/auction to assist
people who have been affected by the recent disasters in Indonesia.
On 27 May, 2006 a high magnitude earthquake struck the city of Yogyakarta, with over 6 000 people killed,
around 46 000 injured, and over 600 000 left homeless. On 17 July, 2006 a small Tsunami struck Pangandaran,
at least 660 people were killed and approximately 51 500 lost their homes.
These disasters have occurred in such close proximity together that it is vital that the Australian
community provides assistance to all those affected.
Artquake is an opportunity for Australian artists to directly support the people of Indonesia.
Artquake is about people connecting with people, across national boundaries in order to help the people
rebuild their homes and livelihoods following the disasters in Indonesia.
The event is to take place at Stone Gallery at Eastside Arts (Paddington Markets), Saturday 7 October 2006,
with preview of the exhibition from 10am and the auction taking place at 3pm in the gallery.
The event is being organised in Australia by Union Aid Abroad -
APHEDA
the overseas humanitarian aid agency of the Australian Council of Trade Unions and INDONESIAN SOLIDARITY -
an independent not-for profit non-government organisations that promotes social justice and democratisation
process in Indonesia.
Relief on the ground in Indonesia is being organised by:
